This week, the Department of Justice unsealed Jeffrey Epstein’s final letter, written only days after his 2019 death. Expecting explosive names or blackmail lists, investigators instead found something much more valuable: Page after page of meticulously handwritten cheat codes for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
“Scorpion wins with ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ L R L R B A,” the letter begins, before diving into Kombat Kodes like “000-033 Animalities” and the elusive Galaga mini-game trigger.
FBI Investigator Mark Smitheroni said, “For years, we’ve been trying to crack this case, and to think it was hidden in this letter the whole time?”
Smitheroni clarified that “this case” refers to the MK3 kill codes, not the Epstein case.
